As we all know, the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the globe in 2020. In response, GEBIS Toronto had initiated the first stage of: “Protect our country and together we will fight the Pandemic “. As a result, we have received more than $30,000 in total from our generous donors.
On April 23rd, in conjunction with 15 organizations and 289 families, GEBIS Toronto has started working on the second stage of the fundraising campaign to obtain PPE for the front-line heroes. The result provided another astonishing response as thousands of participated in this activity, with a generous response of $21,924 as of May 6th.
During this period, the hard-working public relations team contacted numerous nursing homes and hospitals in order to get a better understanding of their urgent needs. Subsequently, the sustenance team was then tasked to source highly demanded qualified PPE.
To date, the Senior Persons Living Center has been received 120 bottles of sanitizer and 1000 pairs of protective gloves. In addition, a selection of finely designed condolence cards had been forwarded to many elders and the front -Line personnel. And our plan for future endeavors is to visit as many senior facilities and hospitals as possible to generate their specific PPE requirements.
Thank to so many people, GEBIS Toronto has received wide public support during this charity activity. Hopefully going forward, this flickering candle of kindness will resonate with countlessly more kind hearts of others and inspire them to join this wonderful campaign.
